Zimbabwe Meteorological Service Training

Synoptic stations installation and training.

As part of a recent UNDP Tender, we supplied 6 Synoptic stations to Zimbabwe Meteorological Services (ZMD) and training for their employees.

The training took place from the 3rd to the 5th of August 2021 at our Stellenbosch Office and was conducted by Sibusiso Boyi, Mauritz de Beer and Nkosikhona Mthembu.

The Zimbabwe Meteorological Services sent 1 Electrical Engineer, 1 Electrical Technician, two Meteorologist (users).

The training focused on the following fields:

· System architecture.

· Software overview

· Introduction CR Basic programing.

· Maintenance and support.

· Data management and Visualization.

During the training the attendees shared their improvement goals for their organization and how they wish to grow their network.

We also received positive feedback on how Campbell supplied weather stations stack up against other brands they have used in the past.
